Form MW-3 Electronic Filing
Withholding and Reporting — Montana reminds vendors on Form MW-3 electronic filing
In anticipation of the upcoming filing season for the annual wage withholding reconciliation, the Montana Department of Revenue is reminding vendors of the electronic filing option. Form MW-3, Montana Annual W-2 1099 Withholding Tax Reconciliation, has been approved by TIGERS leveraging the FSET schema which allows the electronic filing of single or multiple reconciliation forms per submission. Like many other electronic filing programs, users must register and submit test returns prior to being approved. Below is a registration form for TY2015. Those who are interested in participating in the program must complete and return a registration to DORMeF@mt.gov. Also below is the TY2015 specifications. The publication includes sample test scenarios that can be used in the testing portion of the approval process. The Department is encouraging participation in this opportunity to offer electronic filing to customers.
